Welcome to the website of Faith in Action (FIA) Medina County
Caregivers!
Faith in Action
is an interfaith, volunteer,
caregiving organization that connects faith-based and community
volunteers to their elderly Medina County neighbors in need. It offers
"one-stop shopping" to seniors, who just need some neighborly assistance
to remain independent, and the local hospitals, home care agencies and
other geriatric-focused services seeking volunteers to help their
clients.
Volunteers bring light back into the lives of senior adults who need
a little extra help or have long-term health needs.
These no-cost services are provided to the senior elders of our
community to help maintain their independence in the residence of their
choice for as long as possible.
FIA Medina provides the structure, networking and volunteer
insurance for churches seeking to provide outreach ministries to the
elderly in their community. It is a 501(c) 3 non-profit service
organization.
Faith in Action Medina County Caregivers is funded by the
United Way of Medina County,
local organizations, and faithful Medina County residents.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help religious congregations and organizations
serve the non-medical needs of primarily elderly Medina County people
who are frail, isolated or health-impaired and to offer respite care to
the people who care for them.
How to Qualify for Services
Preference is given to individuals 60 years and older who are
residents of the Medina County area. If you know a senior adult in our
Medina County community that can benefit from these services, call the
Faith in Action office at 330-952-0342 (a local Medina number).
To Volunteer:
We’re looking for people who enjoy helping seniors and feel called to
do so, who like to give back or pay forward, or are seeking a way to add
meaning to their life. Just call the Faith in Action office at
330-952-0342 or
email us.
You’ll discover, as each volunteer says, you get back much more
than you give.
